The Gate File Command gates a listmode data file. A logical gate must first be defined with the Logical Gate Tool before a file may be actually "gated". A display file may not be gated due to the uncorrelated way in which flow cytometry histogram , bivariate arrays and displays are saved. All regions defined in the Logical Gate and turned "on" are used to edit the data file.
