A histogram overlay may be created in one of two ways using WinMDI:
First, the user may edit listmode data and save the edited histograms as display files from which individual histogram parameters may read.
Second, the user may simply read into memory a single histogram parameter from a listmode data file and then proceed to overlay the same parameter from different listmode data files. Up to twelve parameters may be overlaid in a histogram parameter. The maximum numbers of single histogram parameters in a HISTOGRAM window is 12, each of which may have up to 12 overlays. Although it might be confusing, there could be 12 x 12 = 144 histograms in a singe HISTOGRAM window.
Third, choose overlay color and/or line style from the Format Histogram dialog box by overlay index.
