A region in WinMDI is defined as either a set of histogram marker windows or a 2D POLYGON, ELLIPSE, or SORT RECT screen area. WinMDI uses graphics calls to test if an event is inside/outside a given 2D region or combination of regions. Regions may be set as Logical Gates.
