The Set File Increment command causes the File Increments dialog box to appear. The dialog box allows the user to enter an increment/decrement range from 1 to 9. Entering the number 3, for example, would result in the Next command changing the data filename from Data.001 to Data.004. For more on changing files within a single document window, see Next and Prev. All document windows may be incremented/decremented by the selected range by using the Increment All and the Decrement All commands. In this context, for example, if there are 3 WinMDI document windows containing data from listmode files Data.001, Data.002, and Data.003 respectively, then Increment All will cause WinMDI to update the 3 document windows with the files Data.004, Data.005, and Data.006. This is designed to facilitate the printing of several files at a time from the Format Print Page window, then incrementing to the next group for the next print operation.
